Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this fantastic Executive role presents an enviable opportunity to lead a diverse division that provides key advice on People and Culture, Learning and Development, organisational strategy, service planning and change management, working to maintain and improve Bayside City Council’s high-performance culture to be truly leading in the Local Government sector.

As a member of a high-performing executive team, you will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and will have responsibility for:
  • Leading the implementation of Council’s organisational strategy, vision and goals with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion, Customer Experience and organisational performance
  • Growing and developing the organisation’s approach to Leadership Development, including extending it to all levels of leadership
  • Oversight of the organisation’s journey out of COVID and into a new, contemporary way of working
The ideal candidate is an established senior leader within People and Culture, who brings demonstrable experience of driving strategy, inclusive practices and change, highly developed political acumen and experience in nurturing high performing teams. Applicants will bring relevant tertiary qualifications, along with extensive experience in senior roles. Experience in Local Government is not a prerequisite, but candidates will need to demonstrate understanding of the workings of a service delivery organisation.
