Working within one of Australia's leading, most highly regarded and recognisable Healthcare institutions, the Financial Business Partner role is critical in enabling the finance team to work closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and strategic growth.
This role is offered on a 12 month contract basis.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will provide financial partnership, advice, analysis and reporting, partnering directly with Executive leaders and managers across the organisation and providing high-level financial support that enables strategic decision-making, improves performance, and contributes to long-term financial sustainability. This role is integral in maintaining financial integrity, delivering insightful analysis, and supporting informed decision-making that balances operational needs with commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead financial strategy and performance improvement within the designated directorate
- Drive cost savings initiatives and provide expert financial analysis
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ensuring timely and accurate recording of data in the financial systems and ensuring adequate internal controls exist over these systems
- Provide the Head of Finance with timely financial analysis and advice, including financial results, forecasts and budgets, revenue optimisation and cost control and procurement benefits.
- Provide support to area managers on the achievement of budget
- Positively challenge divisional financial performance and business planning
- Manage, mentor and support Finance Analysts in the team
We are seeking applications from candidates who bring 5+ years' experience in financial/business partnering, with exposure to senior stakeholders and strong commercial acumen. The ability to develop financial models and forecasts is critical, along with significant experience in strategic and operational financial planning in a large, complex setting.
CA / CPA qualifications will be mandatory, with broad accounting experience, ideally obtained from a service-driven environment. Experience of the healthcare sector would be highly advantageous. A strong strategic mindset, the ability to balance financial and operational priorities and high-level skills in forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling with enable you to develop credibility with senior leaders, clinicians and operational teams.
