Reporting to the Director Environment and Infrastructure this diverse and impactful senior management position leads a small team to oversee a revised, higher-level approach to the strategic management of Council’s key contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to staff managing contracts for buildings, drainage and civil infrastructure maintenance.
  • Lead the review and renewal of major contracts to ensure that they are fit for purpose to deliver value and excellent service to the Bayside community
  • Perform the role of contracts superintendent
  • Lead the ongoing review of policies and practices within the department to ensure they are appropriate, efficient and responsive to customer needs and expectations
Applications are sought from candidates who bring extensive experience and knowledge of current practice in civil infrastructure services and a detailed understanding of sound contract management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical, and tertiary qualifications in engineering, asset management, infrastructure, or related discipline are expected.

Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills will allow the development of innovative, evidence-based planning and a demonstrated understanding of the principles of sound community engagement and experience in effective practices will be critical.
