This role is being offered as a six month fixed term contract.

We are looking for an experienced Internal Communications Adviser to support the organisation’s People and Culture function in the delivery of a significant program of strategy and reform work. The role will provide strategic advice and planning to build out the strategic communications plan for a number of key activities and strategies, including renegotiation of the organisation’s Enterprise Agreement and the launch of the organisation’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, along with a number of new strategies and policies.
The role will help to bring internal communications to life, translating complex ideas into clear, engaging messages that empower the staff and align to the organisation’s values. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills, prior internal communications experience and thrive in a varied communications role. Reporting into the National Director P&C, this position will support the People & Culture team and provide support as needed.
Candidates will bring a background in communications, PR, or a related field and a passion for people-first storytelling. The role calls for strong writing, editing, and content production skills across modern channels, a collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels. A proactive, customer-focused approach with a sharp eye for detail is critical. Experience in a service delivery or member-based organisation is a bonus, but is not essential.
