This recognisable Government entity have a truly national footprint, operating across all States and Territories to provide a critical advisory function to enable delivery of critical services that benefit all Australians.

A recent review of the overall organisational structure has led to the realignment of several key functions and the creation of a new team within the overall corporate performance portfolio. The new function will review the current state of People and Culture and work towards driving a new, higher level of performance to achieve best practice across all areas. Traditional P&C functions will be brought together with broader leadership and people development initiatives as well as a renewed psychosocial focus, greater use of AI functionality and systems and processes being redesigned to provide high level support to the broader organisation.

Key duties will include:
  • Maintaining, developing, implementing, and continuously improving HR systems and workforce management strategies - employee induction process, L&D implementation, performance management process, recruitment, engagement surveys
  • Working with people leaders on performance management of employees, redundancies, investigations, disciplinary and bullying issues as appropriate
  • Undertaking contract renewal and employment variation paperwork including termination documentation and manage associated exit processes.
  • Participating on, and providing HR support for, internal committees such as negotiation of the Enterprise Agreement, Recruitment and Promotions Commitee and Gender Equity and Diversity Committee
  • Coordination and monitoring the biannual Employee Engagement Survey and presenting results to Senior Management and Executive
  • Providing sound and authoritative advice across a range of ER issues, including performance management, employee welfare, grievances, dispute resolution, EEO, etc.
  • Providing accurate interpretation of enterprise agreements, awards and industrial regulations, in line with policies and procedures
  • EA interpretation and redundancy processes
  • Undertaking a review of current IT systems and comparison against best practice, including greater potential use of AI technologies
  • Implement, manage, and deliver workforce planning, leadership programs, and transformational cultural initiatives.
Applications are sought from experienced People and Culture practitioners who bring demonstrated success in strategic HR business partnering positions and driving process and systems improvements in their roles. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility and influence across all levels are essential, with strong ER knowledge and case management experience.

A degree qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related discipline with relevant experience, or equivalent substantial specialist experience, will be expected, with a working knowledge of industrial and employee relations legislation and frameworks including the Fair Work Act, OH&S, equal employment opportunity and any employment related legislation.
Diverse systems experience will be looked upon favourably, with exposure to Technology One or CiA systems being highly advantageous.
